Arriving home, we celebrated the New Year with our neighbors, Dave, Max, and Aracely. Micah's art teacher, Mrs. Whitehouse, invited us to an art exhibit at the Herberger Art Gallery. We got all dressed up and enjoyed seeing Amy and lots of amazing art.Matt joined Micah on an Eastside field trip to the Ping Factory.
Then it was time to separate as Matt began his journey to Tanzania, Africa. He spent 2 weeks traveling, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, and visiting our two sponsored villages (Mairowa and Kondoa). It was very special for Matt to visit our sponsor child, Nehemiah, on his actual birthday.
While Matt was gone, Jodie and the kids flew to Florida and visited her sister, Rhonda, and family and her parents.
